For sports academies

ShowUp, for sports academies.

A season is a long string of sessions, and every one should count. ShowUp lets coaches mark the squad in a tap and ties fees to sessions actually delivered — so when a fee falls due, every family can see exactly which sessions it covers.

Capacity is revenue

See which squad has room before you turn a family away.

An academy lives on filled slots. The week map heats up as sessions fill, so a squad with space is obvious at a glance and an over-full slot suggests the easiest move. Capacity is counted per day and time rather than per squad, so a Monday-to-Thursday group capped at six can hold seven as long as no single day goes over.

Coaches can check in at the venue from their phone, and the geofence widens by the phone’s own reported accuracy so a poor urban fix never blocks a real coach.

Sound familiar?

The season-end headache.

  • “Sessions called off for weather or fixtures, then questions about the fee.”
  • “Tracking players across squads and age groups from the touchline.”
  • “Season-long fees that are hard to explain when sessions vary week to week.”

Every class counts

How a season becomes a fee.

Every attended class fills a bead. When the last one lands it turns gold and the fee falls due — and the family saw every step get there.

  1. A cycle opens

Each student gets a prepaid cycle: a set number of classes to attend. It starts at zero and waits.

    New cycle
  2. Attendance in a tap

You mark who showed up. Every present class fills one bead. The meter ticks up, class by class.

    3 of 8
  3. An absence never burns a class

Mark an absence and the meter holds. A missed class is not a paid class: the cycle simply waits for the next one.

    Still 5 of 8
  4. The cycle completes

When the last class is attended, the beads turn to gold. The chapter is done. Only now does a fee fall due.

    Chapter complete
  5. The family is told, in plain words

The family gets a simple message: the cycle is finished and the fee is due. No surprises.

    Fee due
  6. Paid, and the next cycle begins

The owner marks the fee received, and a fresh cycle opens automatically. The rhythm continues.

Questions

Sports academies: the questions we’re asked.

Can coaches mark a whole squad quickly, pitch-side?

Yes. A coach opens their squad and taps players present or away — that’s the entire job, and nothing else clutters the view.

How are cancelled sessions handled?

A session that didn’t happen never fills a bead and is never billed. Fees track sessions delivered, which heads off the usual disputes.

Does it handle multiple squads and age groups?

Yes — squads, age groups and levels are just groups in ShowUp, with attendance and fees tracked per player.
